In cooperation with the Israeli Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, we cordially invite you to our Summer School project on the topic of “Israeli Diplomacy in Europe”. The Summer School will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2026 at our school, with lectures and workshops from Czech and Israeli colleagues. All lectures will be presented in English.

Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, located in the heart of the Galilee in northern Israel, is a public university that provides top-notch bachelor's and master's education and research opportunities in the fields of social sciences, health, management and data studies.

The Summer School, which will be attended by Czech and Israeli students, will offer 5 days of a packed program that will not only be about lectures by Czech and Israeli experts, but also about working on their own student projects and having fun.

 

MAIN TOPICS AND LECTURERS:

  • Elevator pitch – Introduce yourself across cultures - Rony STEIN-PERI (Israel), Manager of the International Office, The Max Stern Yezreel Valley College
  • Introduction to EU Diplomacy towards Israel - Michael ŽANTOVSKÝ (Czech Republic), Czech diplomat, writer, politician and a psychologist, foreign policy adviser to Czech President. He also served as an ambassador of the Czech Republic in the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom
  • Development of Czech-Israeli relations - Tomáš POJAR (Czech Republic), Vice President of CEVRO University and a nonresident senior fellow of Hudson Institute. He was a national security advisor of the Prime Minister and served as an ambassador of the Czech Republic in Israel
  • Israel’s Arm Diplomacy in Europe – The Ukraine war as a wake-up call - Yaron SALMAN (Israel), faculty member at the Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel. His research topics includes Israel’s foreign relations; Israel’s Gulf Arab Relations; tourism and normalization; tourism diplomacy
  • Israel’s Aid Diplomacy - The execution of the UN SDG diplomacy - Yaron SALMAN (Israel), faculty member at the Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel. His research topics includes Israel’s foreign relations; Israel’s Gulf Arab Relations; tourism and normalization; tourism diplomacy
  • Group work - Tomáš PLUHAŘÍK (Czech Republic), visionary leader, start-up captain, cyber security expert 
  • Group work - Anna Uster (Israel), Head of Department, Political Science and Public Policy and Administration, Max Stern Yezreel Valley College

Each day, one workshop will be held under the leadership of an Israeli and a Czech mentor, and at the end of the summer school, students will present their projects.

 

TUITION FEE

The price for Czech students is 3000 CZK (fee includes lectures and workshops). CEVRO University students are entitled to a 50% discount. Students enrolled in the 1st year of the academic year 2026/27 are free to attend.
